A childhood dream come true

Why did you choose to study hospitality? 

It all started when I was 12 years old. I went on my first vacation abroad and just loved the atmosphere and the service. I love meeting new and different people. I love helping them and making sure that their experience is the best possible.   

 

What made you choose SHMS?

It was because of all the practical things we do here and during our internships. We held an event a few weeks ago, for example. We also get a degree from the University of Derby as well, which is a very good opportunity.  

 

Which class do you prefer and why? 

My favorite class this year is Facilities Management and Interior Design because we get to learn about the actual building itself, how we should build it, and also a lot about design, what impact it can have. Since I want to have my own hotel in the future, I think it is interesting to learn how that works.  

 

What about campus life?

I was very lucky to get an amazing roommate. We are a great team and we have a lot of fun. I have so many friends here, we are all like a family. Whenever you feel a little lonely in your room, you can just go downstairs and you'll find someone to hang out with. We go on trips on the weekends together. We have so much fun here.
