As trustees of The Mercury Phoenix Trust, Brian May and Roger Taylor, former members of the band Queen, have personally thanked students at Swiss Education Group for their fundraising efforts.
"Thanks for doing such a great job in raising money for The Mercury Phoenix Trust fighting AIDS worldwide... Keep up the good work." wrote May and Taylor, after receiving more than CHF 20,000.- from student’s fundraising efforts.
Planning is well underway for the next big fundraising event with the city of Montreux playing host to a weekend festival, "Freddie for a Day" at the end of May. Over two days, students from Hotel Institute Montreux and Swiss Hotel Management School will animate the market place in Montreux with a festival built around the theme of prevention and with all proceeds being donated to The Mercury Phoenix Trust.
The joint forces of The Mercury Phoenix Trust and Swiss Education Group are providing hope to those in need around the world.
