With a simple coat of Ideapaint, HIM classrooms have been transformed into ultramodern learning spaces that give teachers and students the scope they need to collaborate, connect and accelerate learning. Ideapaint is dry erase paint that can be applied to any flat surface instantly creating a learning environment where dusty chalkboards and one-way powerpoint lectures are teaching instruments of the past.

HIM applied the paint directly to the tables in the classrooms changing them into collaborative and functional writing spaces. This simple change dramatically impacts the balance of the classroom changing the weight from the front of the room and handing it back to the students themselves. Mr. John Daly, HIM lecturer of Organisational Behaviour shared, “the learning space has become completely interactive. I no longer stand at the front of the room but instead move freely with my iPad for collaborative interaction”.

When asked how the learning space affected the learning experience Term 6 Student Nelly K. shared: “It’s awesome!! I think it’s a great way to get students to work on projects together and broaden their ideas. It is definitely a great team-building tool and it is time efficient. Students can brainstorm their ideas and solve problems faster”.

Complimenting the 1:1 iPad Project that was launched over the last 2 years, Ideapaint is one component of the Education Revolution that is taking place throughout all Swiss Education Group schools. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that students and faculty are offered the best possible tools to augment their learning experiences while remaining at the forefront of cutting-edge teaching and learning technology.
