Hotel Institute Montreux is currently hosting 6 Bolashak scholars from Kazakhstan. Based on their high education performance, these students are members of the prestigious presidential scholarship program in their home country. On their own initiative they have been organizing events introducing the Kazakh culture to their fellow students.

Last Friday, the 6 students hosted their largest event to date at HIM and invited HIM staff and students, members of the embassy and Swiss Education Group together to celebrate the Kazakh culture. The Kazahkstan tourism industry is set to boom in the coming years with the 2017 Expo planned in Astana putting hospitality professionals in high demand.

“We would like to sincerely thank the members of HIM that helped us organize this event. The support was incredible from the Dean helping us with marketing to the kitchen staff searching high and low for special ingredients to prepare traditional food. Even the CEO of Swiss Education Group returned from his vacation day to give the official opening speech.”
