The students designed, pitched and presented their creative concept and design to a panel of judges who voted on the winning label. The student design will be featured for one year at Montreux Jazz Cafés across the world. What an achievement!
Did we mention that this was a student project?!
HIM Lecturer, Ms. Aileen Woulfe led the advertising assignment. Many hours of hard work were spent preparing the marketing class for this interesting experience and incredible opportunity that top companies would dream to have. The President of La Cave Vevey-Montreux, CEO of Montreux Jazz Café, Managing Director of Magic Pencil Creative Communications and the Chief Executive officer of the Swiss Education Group all travelled to Hotel Institute Montreux to take part in the difficult judging and selection process. Mr. Laurent Buri, COO of the Montreux Jazz International shared:
"I was so lucky to be a part of the judge panel for the wine label competition! The work and investment all the students have put into the project was really impressive. The quality of the work, their communication and design skills left me speechless for a moment. A huge congratulations to all that entered this competition for having worked so hard and for delivering such a great performance."
And the winners are…
Congratulations to Hotel Institute Montreux students, Sue Song, Jessica Pan, Elaine Wu and Claire Qin! "And to all the teams that participated - for pushing yourselves out of your comfort zones and coming up with such beautiful campaigns - well done. There can only be one winner but I hope you are as proud of yourselves as we are." Aileen Woulfe, HIM Marketing Lecturer.
