IHTTI Hosts Le Creuset Cuppa Event for Charity
Sponsored by Le Creuset Switzerland, Over 60 people joined IHTTI students to share a cuppa and raise awareness for cancer and HIV aids.
With an English High Tea theme, IHTTI students raised funds through donations and an auction during the International Le Creuset Cuppa event on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Starting an annual tradition, the students made the decision to link their end-of-year event to raising funds for an important cause.
Much of the event’s success is owed to Le Creuset who generously donated crockery and goodie bags. Le Creuset is world renowned for cast iron and stainless steel cookware, bake ware, kitchen and bar utensils and has been sponsoring Cuppa for CANSA Tea Parties in South Africa to lead the fight against cancer for the past four years. Funds were also donated to the local children’s cancer association Un P’tit Plus and The Mercury Phoenix Trust.
