Although trained to the highest standard in cooking, our students graduate with many more professional options thanks to unique opportunities and the well-rounded education they receive.

Last term, our Term 7 Culinary Arts Academy students collaborated with professional photographer, Nuno Acacio to undertake an ambitious culinary photography project that resulted in a stunning food art exposition that was launched during the recent Cinq Sens Festival Culinaire.

The photo-shoots took place over three days involving the students in every step of the process from concept development, to the organization of model placement and lighting, to hours spent assembling and installing the exhibition to ensure they stayed within budget. The students themselves acted as the models and the food details were everyday items found in the kitchen. The result showcased the connection between people and food according to the five senses.

Nuno shared, "As a photographer, this was an amazing experience for me. I learned so much collaborating with these talented culinary students and will take with me many unforgettable moments from this unique project. My goal was to ensure the students were proud of the outcome and their accomplishments and I think the project was a complete success!"
