"I am very pleased and feel privileged to work together with the high caliber of industry that returns to the IRF year after year. Although it is a lot of work to plan the event, the end result for both the students and the industry is overwhelmingly positive."
Vanessa Moret, IRF & Events Manager

They say that success lies in the details, and for the meticulously planned International Recruitment Forum, this is no exception. From the top quality industry representation to the hours of interview preparation put in by students, when walking the halls of the IRF at 2m2c Montreux Music & Convention Centre, it becomes immediately clear that everyone is there with purpose.

Coiffed, combed and presented in their best suits, for the 2,500 students in attendance, it is about connecting with the hotel industries in order to secure their next internship, management traineeship and even corporate level role after graduation. With top decision-makers present, the IRF is an incredible opportunity for students to meet directly with potential employers and demonstrate how they stand out from the crowd. Gavin Vadamootoo, SHMS student hailing from the Mauritius Islands shared, "The IRF has been very successful for me. The face-to-face opportunity is such a great way to make sure your CV doesn’t just get lost in a pile."

This edition welcomed close to 200 recruiters from across the hospitality industry ready with concrete employment and internship opportunities. SEG’s student reputations are strong in the industry and as the IRF continues to grow, new organisations consistently join the forum looking to participate. First time attendee, Carey White, Director of Human Resources at the Palazzo Versace Dubai remarked, "I was very impressed with the turn out and the professional attitude of the students."

Close Ties With the Hospitality Industry

For the Swiss Education Group, the IRF is an opportunity for our entire family to come together. And at the heart of the International Recruitment Forum family rests Mr Benoît Samson, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer for the Swiss Education Group.

Mr Samson emphasizes that the strength of the Swiss Education Group stems from our close relationship with the industry itself. Although rooted in Swiss traditions, SEG programmes are continuously evolving to reflect the hospitality industry changes and needs. And with the key players of the industry all together, Mr Samson seized the opportunity to speak individually with each industry participant to learn how we can continue to work together to grow and enhance our programmes. A special session of the SEG Panel of Leading Experts was also conducted during the IRF to discuss the SEG 2020 strategic vision.

The 12th Edition of the International Recruitment Forum was a great success for all involved and we are already anticipating the next edition in Spring 2015. "Thank you to our industry family members for your professionalism in delivering your excellent service, your quality and talent which has contributed to your outstanding reputations and last but not least your devotion to this VERY big family." Benoît Samson, Chief Brand & Marketing Officer for the Swiss Education Group.
