In partnership with the Swiss Embassy Kenya, the Swiss Education Group organised a unique culinary event hosted in the stunning setting of the Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya on Saturday, September 13, 2014.

The event was held to showcase and promote Switzerland as an exceptional tourist, culinary and education destination and provide an opportunity for stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality field to increase their profile in Kenya. Over 100 guests from the hospitality and business community of Kenya, international schools and past and current Swiss Education Group students came together to learn about the hospitality academic opportunities in Switzerland and the exceptional service in the Swiss tourism sector. Delegates from the Kenyan government including the Minister of Education and Minister of Foreign Affairs were also in attendance.

Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland Programme Manager and talented chef Alain Müller prepared a traditional Swiss spread for guests to sample and enjoy while they mingled with each other. Swiss Ambassador to Kenya, Mr. Jacques Pitteloud addressed the crowd and spoke of the opportunities that a hospitality education in Switzerland can bring to the Kenyan tourism industry. Mr. Pitteloud underlined the value that high-end tourism can bring to Kenya emphasizing the importance of responsible and sustainable travel. By concentrating on quality, an education in Switzerland can help bring focus to an industry that is constantly changing.

The Swiss Education Group was very pleased to be a part of this terrific event. Merci and asante sana to all involved!
