Hotel Institute Montreux announces an exclusive partnership with La Mer, a prestigious cosmetics brand owned by the Estée Lauder Group.
The aim of this collaboration is to reinforce the learning experience of students by building on the exchange of knowledge and expertise in the luxury goods marketing sector.
As part of their course, Hotel Institute Montreux students on the Luxury Marketing and Business Specialization study track will host managers from the La Mer brand and the Estée Lauder group of companies as guest speakers every semester. The goal is to open opportunities to students to address concrete marketing concepts such as the positioning of a brand, its commercial strategy, marketing on digital platforms and methods of winning and retaining customers, as well as current issues of relevance to the luxury goods industry and its cosmetics branch in particular. Over the long term, the case studies assigned to our students will be evaluated and overseen by brand professionals.
It is an honour for us to work with the Swiss Education Group and to share our expertise in the luxury cosmetics industry. This partnership reflects our commitment to the young generation by instilling in them the values that will equip them to meet the challenges with which they will be faced as future leaders in the luxury industry,
”

La Mer will also open work experience placements to our students offering the opportunity for our students to work directly alongside the teams at La Mer in Zurich.
“
The objective of the Swiss Education Group is to collaborate with leading companies in order to allow our students to learn with industry professionals. This partnership reaffirms our strong relationship with the marketing industry and I am sure that it will enable our students to hone their skills in this sector by providing them with the knowledge and experience they need in order to excel in this dynamic international industry,
”

La Mer joined The Estée Lauder Companies' family of brands in 1995. Sold in more than 50 countries and territories, La Mer represents supreme luxury and transformative, high-performance skincare. Crème de la Mer, one of the most innovative and sought-after moisturizers, was conceived by Dr. Max Huber, an aerospace physicist after he suffered a laboratory accident that severely burned his face. Formulated with sea kelp and a pioneering bio-fermentation process, the Crème miraculously transformed the appearance of Dr. Huber's skin. Since then, it has evolved into what can only be described as a legend. Today, La Mer offers a complete range of facial skincare and body products—all harnessing the remarkable benefits of the sea.
