As part of a series of hospitality related talks supported by Swiss Education Group and organized by Evanyu, a group of young and aspiring Food and Beverage professionals from Nanyang Polytechnic were treated to a “taster” of Chef Emmanuel Stroobant’s very flavourful life.
In his heartfelt speech, Chef Emmanuel shared how he started out as a dishwashing boy, started his own restaurant at the age of 22, and eventually left everything to start again from scratch in Asia. The afternoon followed with a Q&A session where Chef Emmanuel provided honest insights into his professional and personal life. It was evident that he felt passionate about food and health and spoke about the importance of the obligations of the food industry and the need to educate the public about healthy eating.
At the end of the session three lucky students were rewarded with a $100.00 Saint Pierre dining voucher for their enthusiastic participation. We hope the session fuelled a greater appetite for an F&B career and we wish these students “bon appetit!”
