Swiss Education Group (SEG) and Southeast University in Nanjing, China, have extended and expanded upon a strategic partnership in which they will conduct cooperative research, hold joint lectures and seminars, cooperate in training projects, exchange personnel in academic fields, offer joint undergraduate and graduate exchange projects, and offer and promote masterclasses and summer courses.
Mr. Hu Rongming, Director of University Cooperation of SEG China, signed the expanded cooperation agreement with Professor Hong Yanbi, Vice Dean of the School of Humanities of Southeast University on November 30, 2022. SEG and Southeast University have already carried out in-depth exchanges in a long-term cooperation, but the newly signed agreement opens a fresh chapter between one of the world’s leading hospitality education groups, with four schools in Switzerland, and one of China’s most elite educational institutions.
About Southeast University
Southeast University is located in Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties. The university originated from Sanjiang Normal School, which was founded in 1902, and thus has a 120-year history. Southeast University is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, and is also a key national university of "Double First-Class", "Project 985", and "Project 211".
As of 2021, 45 world-class universities and high-level research institutions from 18 countries and regions had successively established close cooperation with Southeast University, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; the University of California, Berkeley; and the University of Maryland in the United States; the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto in Canada; Cambridge University, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, and Leeds University in the United Kingdom; the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich, Switzerland; the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden; the Technical University of Munich in Germany; Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium; Trinity College Dublin in Ireland; Monash University in Australia; and Osaka University in Japan, among others.
