Taking a little piece of Switzerland back to Hong Kong SAR!
Ken Choi is using the skills he learned at Hotel Institute Montreux and bringing his passion for Swiss wines to people in his native Hong Kong SAR.
A recent graduate, Ken founded his business, Swiss Winemakers in November 2013. Already he has secured a retail space in central Hong Kong SAR, organised the logistics for importing wines and set up his website swisswinemakers.com
Ken says, "I founded Swiss Winemakers after visiting an international wine show here in Hong Kong SAR. Countries from all over the world had their wine represented except for Switzerland. I was surprised because I know the quality of Swiss wine and the potential it has on a world stage."
With the final touches being made to the retail shop, Ken is planning to run wine-tasting events and to collaborate with local wine education institutes to offer Masterclasses on Swiss wine. Ken will be relying on his business advisor Nicolas Bourassin, current Bar & Beverage lecturer with Swiss Education Group to make sure that he has the best wines to present to the population of Hong Kong SAR.
