Following a full site audit and evaluation, Hotel Institute Montreux has been accredited by the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE). The accreditation is a guarantee of the high standard of education in our school in the tourism, hospitality and events industries – globally!
The accreditation process took place over a week-long period. Dr. Stuart Jauncy from the United Arab Emirates and Dr. Thomas Bauer from Australia travelled to HIM to evaluate the teaching and learning practices and school infrastructure. They spoke individually with students, faculty, management, the executive team, industry and university partners to measure against 14 different standards of quality. Following the on-site THE-ICE Standards of Excellence evaluation, the school was peer reviewed by THE-ICE Board of Directors. HIM is now recognized as a member of this prestigious global club consisting of top hospitality schools across the world.
What does this accreditation mean for HIM grads?
The recognition provides an additional validation of the teaching and learning environment at HIM. For our students this is yet another credential attached to their education which offers them a competitive advantage on the job market, in their further education and in their professional career.
